Having a passion for Irish people and their culture, I was delighted when I received a wink from a girl from Dublin. This led to emails and further down the line phone calls, some of which lasted 3-4 hours through to the early hours. I then booked a trip to Dublin for our first date much against the advice of certain friends. Anyway, I was having none of it, I was adamant I was going to go with my instinct...I felt very positive, calm and confident on the flight but on approaching the arrivals sliding doors I can only describe it as like being on Big Brother facing the crowd, the doors opened and was told that my date would be wearing pink but all I could see wearing pink was a little girl and old lady. I started to fret a little, that was until I caught a glimpse in the corner of my eye of what can only be described as the woman of my dreams, with a smile beaming across her face, she rushed towards me and gave me a great big hug and a kiss.
We planned to stay together for the weekend. We had instant chemistry and fell in love at first sight. The whole weekend was a fabulous experience, one I will never forget.
We are both sure we were meant to be together and I can't wait for her next visit to the UK. In the meantime it's back to the long phone calls. LOL :-)
We'd love to hear from you! Tell us your story, or give some advice to others who are looking for love...
